A Geek Community I found myself beginning to feel like Alice [in God's Crooked Lines]; held up at the psychiatric hospital for longer than I needed to be and I wanted out. Miller Ready Steady Cut God’s Crooked Lines is an extraordinarily patient psychological thriller, one that rewards viewers for their time and dedication, especially fans of the genre. Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 20, 2022 Full Review God's Crooked Lines | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Chris Joyce Movies and Munchies (YouTube) The story is a long one and there are repetitive moments, but the narrative demands attention due to the complexities of a fairly straightforward story told by an extremely unreliable narrator. The film doles out flashbacks, potential culprits, and scenes that change meaning every five minutes, delivering a house of cards that falls, then is put back together over and over again for two and a half long hours. Richard N In my top ten. Intense and cerebral. We still argue about whether Alice Gould was insane or not. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/18/23 Full Review Avindu G A brilliant novel that's well-deserved to be made into a movie. Cast does a magnificent work in bringing life to this tragic tale about god's crooked creations. Well written deep meaningful dialogues. Excellent use of colours in visuals contrasting and emphasizing on each background. Cinematography is remarkably in sync with the mood of each scene. Background characters were flawless in portraying the scenes inside the institution. Perfect use of music with a hallucinating effect that goes well with the story. A thorough detail oriented production that gets interesting till the last minute. A must watch. Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/11/23 Full Review Georgan G Could have been much better if it was shorter & less complex. Even the ending was too long & complex. Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review Matthew D God's Crooked Lines takes an hour too long to make its mark, and had no business being nearly 3 hours long. Despite some clever twists, I did not feel engaged by the writing or the overacting. It's incredibly slow and boring. I'd much rather rewatch Shutter Island or A Cure for Wellness than sit through God's Crooked Lines again. I would not really recommend God's Crooked Lines in all honesty.
