MICROSOFT.COM REDMOND WA (2024)

What is it?

This is a charge from Microsoft, an American multinational technology company that produces computer software, electronics, computers and more. It is headquartered in Redmond, Washington, which is likely why you see "REDMOND WA" on your charge.

Some of Microsoft's products include:

  • Xbox
  • Office
  • Outlook
  • Surface
  • Windows
  • Explorer

Microsoft ranked No. 14 in the 2022 Fortune 500 rankings of the largest United States corporations by total revenue, and it is one of the Top 5 American information technology companies, alongside Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, and Meta.

Why this charge may appear on your card

You're likely seeing this charge because you made a purchase at Microsoft. You can log into your Microsoft account and view your order history. If you didn't make this purchase, it's possible someone else did, which may be an early indication of fraud.

Common causes for unexpected charges

You might have been charged for one of the following:

  • Someone made an in-app purchase from an app, game or Office
  • A subscription, such as Xbox Live, Microsoft 365, OneDrive or Skype, had recurring billing enabled

What can you do?

If you don’t recognize the charge, you can contact Microsoft's customer service. You can also call your bank or credit card company and dispute the charges and try to recover the money.

How to Contact Microsoft

You can contact the company on Microsoft's website.

received a charge on my credit card that simply read: Microsoft Redmond WA for a charge of $21.19 and I didn't make any charges with Microsoft that I am aware of. It took place on 12/24/2021. What can I do to get this refunded ?

When I checked back to the purchases under order history especially for Xbox, I found that these were games and subscriptions that I was paying for and forgot about. The name of the name is not going to show up in your bank account, but the fact that you sign up with your microsoft account is why it shows up like that.I brought Gears 5, State of Decay and EA Play. It took a bit of work getting to the bottom of it, It would help if they would label the charges better.

I received 4 charges from Microsoft Redmond WAUS XBOX. I DO NOT have an Xbox nor do my children. I have tried multiple times to contact microsoft xbox support and they want me to create an account. Again, I do not have an account and it's impossible to speak with a representative regarding these charges and who authorized them. Anyone have ideas on how to get a refund

For the last 4 months a charge for Microsoft Xbox has been on my credit card. I don't own one and have never charged anything. It's a good thing I use American Express and can dispute them. Is there anyway for you to identify the IP address where something like this is initiated?

More than $128 has been stolen from my card by 1 Microsoft redman and i am ticked off. Called my card company and they issued a new card. I am trying to get credit back and reported this as fraud against 1 Microsoft. Class action lawsuits don't help anyone except the attorneys and the ones who really suffered the loss get pennies on the dollar.
