CRCOG's Regional Refuse and Recycling Program serves residents ofBenner, College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton townships as their designated agent.CRCOG is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, contractor compliance and enforcement of the municipal solid waste & recycling ordinances.

Our mission is to promote public health, safety, and welfare and to eliminate public health hazards, environmental pollution, and economic loss in the Centre Region through the collection, transportation, and disposal of residential municipal waste.

E-WASTE COLLECTION RESCHEDULED

The E-Waste collection that was postponed during the Spring 2024 Bulk Waste Week has been rescheduled starting MONDAY, JUNE 10. All covered electronic devices (televisions, computers, printers) must be at the curb or roadside by 6 a.m. on Monday, June 10 regardless of your regular collection day. This collection is for households with curbside collection of their refuse in Benner, College, Ferguson, Harris, and Patton Townships only. Collection is limited to a maximum of 2 televisions from each residence.

TIRE COLLECTION RESCHEDULED

The TIRE collection that was postponed during the Spring 2024 Bulk Waste Week has been rescheduled for MONDAY, JUNE 3. All tires must be at the curb or roadside by 6 a.m. on Monday, June 3 regardless of your regular collection day. This collection is for households with curbside collection of their refuse in Benner, College, Ferguson, Harris, and Patton Townships only. Collection is limited to a maximum of 6 tires from each residence. All tires must be no larger than 20" diameter and must have rims removed.

Summer Collection Start Time

Curbside Collection of Refuse and Recycling starts at 6 a.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. All customers are reminded to have their materials to the curb by 6 a.m.

New Contract for 2025-2030

A new Refuse and Recycling contract beginsAPRIL 1, 2025 for residents of Benner, College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton Townships with curbside collection of their refuse and recycling. Within the next year, we will provide education and outreach to let you know about changes coming in your curbside service, new costs, customer service contact details, and payment options. COLLECTION SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR 2024

The ONLY days when there will be no collection in 2024 are:

May 27

Memorial Day

July 4

Independence Day

September 2

Labor Day

November 28

Thanksgiving Day

December 25

Christmas Day

There will be a one-day delay for the rest of the week following each of those days, with Friday's collection taking place on Saturday.

Collection of both Refuse and Recycling will begin at 6 a.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Contact them with questions on billing, weekly service, or special pickups.

Also call customer service if you are experiencing a missed collection or any other problems with your weekly collection. Do not send an email regarding refuse missed collections.

2024 COLLECTION RATES

Residential rates for curbside collection of refuse and recycling will not increase for 2024. Click HERE for the rates for residential curbside collection of refuse and recycling.

SIGN UP FOR ALERTS

Get an email or a text message when the schedule for refuse or recycling collection changes for holidays, severe weather, or other emergencies. There are TWO ways to do this:

1. Sign up for the COG email alerts by clicking on the blue button over on the right ("Subscribe to Alerts & Newsletter").

2. Tell Waste Management to send you either email or text alerts on your WM online account: under "My Account" go to "Manage Contacts". On the "Manage Contacts" page, check your email address and phone number, then look over on the left for "Communication Preferences", click "here" and then tell WM how and when to send you notifications.
